Our Approach

Before this website was published, we at McCambridge Group so it fit to have the content and usability of the site tested by different types of end users. We believe that this website meets or exceeds the Level A requirements of the World Wide Web Consortium Web Accessibility Initiative (WCAG WAI) 2.0 guidelines.

Structure

The website has been constructed with the end user in mind throughout. The design should allow the user to be aware of where they are at any point. All hyperlink text has been made as distinctive as possible. We have attempted in implementing a 'Breadcrumb navigation' system on the site. We are aware that parts of the site may need slight improvement in usability. This is the reason we constantly looking to better the usability of the site and will adhere in implementing the best methods available to us to make this site user friendly as possible.

We have also kept the website consistent throughout which should give the end user a good indication when they have left the site and directed to an external website. We have also tried to ensure any external website or and downloadable documents are opened on new windows/tabs.

Style Sheets

We have used Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) to control the presentation of pages and have used properly structured markup for content. If style sheets are not supported or are turned off, information on the site can still be accessed and read.

Flash

We have used Flash on parts of our website and to view the flash content your device will have to have Flash support. Flash can be easily obtained from the Adobe Flash website (Click here to obtain Flash). Some devices may not support Flash application such as Apple IPhones, Ipods and IPads. Any area which contains Flash will have alternative content so the site can be used without Adobe Flash.
